I'm a maker who likes to design and a designer who likes to make.
Hi, I'm Heath. I am an experiential designer and metalsmith.
Originally from North Carolina, I got my first taste of the creative life at East Carolina University where I studied goldsmithing. That took me to Italy where I studied with masters, learned Italian, and developed an opinion. Upon graduating I moved to NYC and worked in the fashion industry designing jewelry for Pamela Love.
After a couple years honing my craft, I left the industry to pursue a masters in industrial design at School of Visual Art's Products of Design. I did a master's thesis on how to prevent HIV Through Design. Upon graduating I worked for NIKE and other brands designing eye-ware and wearable tech. After that my experiences took me to American Express where I designed chic dinners and cool experiences. I also was a T- Fellow at the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator, and a Venture Fellow at SVA's Groundfloor Incubator.
Currently I work as private design consultant, designing objects of desire and experiences that invoke desire. I also do work around education and activism for HIV / AIDS, and I am launching an app that helps you remember to take your PrEP.
