I'm a maker who likes to design and a designer who likes to make.
Hi, I'm Heath. I am an industrial designer and metalsmith.
Originally from North Carolina, I got my first taste of the creative life at East Carolina University where I studied metalsmithing. Upon graduating I moved to NYC and work in the fashion industry designing jewelry. After a couple years honing my craft, I left the industry to pursue a masters in industrial design at School of Visual Art's Products of Design. I did a master's thesis on how to prevent HIV Through Design. Upon graduating I worked for NIKE and other brands designing wearable tech.
Currently I work as private design consultant on wearable tech projects and designing for the Food and Beverage industry. I am also a T- Fellow at the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator and a Venture Fellow at SVA's Groundfloor Incubator. I also do work around education and activism for HIV / AIDS
