Currently in development at GROUNDFLOOR
Currently in development, Oraest, is a speculative at home HIV testing device that plugs into the user's phone. Oraest uses mouth swab technology to detect the presence of HIV antibodies in the saliva of the user. The app is hidden in the new Apple Health Kit that is part of the iOS 9 operating system.
The app gives a clear read-out with the opportunity to contact a healthcare professional in the event of a positive result. This object's goal is to normalize at home testing and increase the amount of people who know their status in an attempt to lower the amount of HIV infections.
